# Council Decision of 13 November 2012 on the signing and conclusion of the Agreement between the Government of the United States of America and the European Union on the coordination of energy-efficiency labelling programmes for office equipment (Text with EEA relevance) (2013/107/EU), Division B: Qualifying Products Under Tier 2 of the Version 5.0 Specification


The second phase of this specification, Tier 2, shall take effect on October 30, 2011, and apply to products with a date of manufacture on or after October 30, 2011. For example, a unit with a date of manufacture of October 30, 2011 must meet the Tier 2 specification in order to qualify as ENERGY STAR.
